For the host

Calm behind the bar. Loud on the screen.

Everything players see is big, clear and fair. Everything the host does is one step at a time, from a phone, a tablet or the admin.

  • The host controls on a phone, with answers open, three of five players answered and a button to close answers

    Hosting

    Run it from your phone

One big button moves the game on. Players, scores and the screen are a tap away, and a tablet or laptop works just as well.

  • The pack editor with a multiple choice question, its four options and a preview of how players see it

    Packs

    Write your own rounds

Multiple choice, true or false and typed answers, with points, a time limit and a bonus for speed. Import a spreadsheet to start faster.

  • A phone showing a picture question with the answers below it

  • A phone in the lobby of a team game, showing the player’s team and that the captain answers for it

    Teams

Play alone or as a table

Players start a team or join one as they arrive. The captain answers for the table and everyone else follows along.

  • A finished game in CornyBits admin, with the top three, the final standings and how each question went

Games held, players, formats and answer times for every outlet, ready to export when the owner asks.

On every screen

The big screen, the phones and the laptops too.

The TV shows the room what to play. Players answer on whatever they brought with them, and nobody installs a thing.

Questions

Questions, answered.

No. CornyBits runs in the browser on any phone or computer. Players scan the QR code on the screen or type the game code, and play under a display name for that game.

A CornyBits organisation, a TV or projector with a web browser, and a phone, tablet or laptop to host from. Players use their own phones, or the computers in the room.

They open the game again on the same phone and browser, or scan the code again, and carry on as the same player with their answers and score. The game keeps time on its own clock, so a question that closes while they are away is missed.

The game lives on the CornyBits server, not on your device. Open the host controls on another device and take over. Only one device controls a game at a time, and timers keep running while you switch.

Yes. Offensive names are refused as players join, and you can rename, remove or ban anyone. Captions and player quotes wait for your approval before anyone else sees them.

Yes. Build packs in the editor, add pictures and sound clips, or import questions you already have in a spreadsheet. Ready-made starter packs are there for your first night.
